Andrew P. Scott is presently Deputy Director of Multimedia at USA TODAY, overseeing a team of visual editors and photo journalists who work within a multimedia newsroom shaping photo and video coverage for use across all of USA TODAY's platforms and Gannett properties across the US.
A 1995 graduate of The University of Iowa, Scott spent three years as a mechanical engineering major before graduating with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
Prior to joining USA TODAY, he was a photographer and photo editor for ten years at The Dallas Morning News.
Before working in Dallas, he was a photographer for the Iowa City Press-Citizen, Hazleton (PA) Standard-Speaker, an intern for the Los Angeles Times and The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and covered eastern Iowa for the Associated Press.
