Smiley Pool (one of my co-workers), Wally Skalij of the Los Angeles Times and I visited several of the venues today to look at the photo positions and meet with the venue managers to see how things will work.  Here’s a frame from the hip when we were in Palavela which will host both figure skating and short track speed skating.  We also visited the Oval Lingotto which is near the Main Press Center and I have made several trips to Palasport Olimpico which will host many ice hockey games.  We will try to visit more tomorrow so we have the lay of the land before the games kick in.  Some look to be done and ready to go and others have signs awaiting installation and quite a bit of cleanup necessary before they will be ready. - Andy
